Today's Issues is a locally produced one-hour public affairs program broadcast weekly on Emmis owned KSHE 95, KHITS 96.3, 105.7 The Point and FM NewsTalk 97.1. The show is also syndicated on St. Louis’ Classical 107.3 FM and 96.3 HD-2 programmed by the Radio Arts Foundation (RAF). The first half hour is hosted by Kristi Carson a 27-year broadcasting professional, who prides herself in featuring current and local topics from diverse community voices. The last half hour features Missouri Viewpoints hosted by Mike Ferguson and produced partnership with Lindenwood University. About Kristi Carson: Kristi Carson is the Public and Community Relations Director for Emmis Radio - St. Louis which owns and operates KSHE 95, FM NewsTalk 97.1, 105.7 The Point, K-Hits 96.3 FM, and their respective High-Definition radio stations and digital brands and websites. After graduating from Lafayette High School in West County in 1983, Kristi went on to receive her Bachelors of Art degree in Mass Communications from Lincoln University – Jefferson City in 1987. Kristi’s professional broadcasting career began in 1986 at Y107 FM - Jefferson City, which led her back to St. Louis’ Top 20 Market in 1992 to blossom into a dynamic air personality on the airwaves of Q104, Alice @ 104.1., “The Mall”, Red @ 104.1, The Steve and DC Radio Show on Q106.5 and 97.1 FM Talk. As Public and Community Relations Director Kristi maintains and distributes internal and external communications as well as coordinates Emmis St. Louis’ community outreach efforts which includes but not limited to public service awareness campaigns, donation requests, internship applications, the public affairs show, tours, voice talent, and production. In September of 2014 Kristi celebrated 16 years with Emmis – St. Louis.
