County Cop Charged With Assault

(St. Louis, MO) -- A St. Louis County police officer is facing assault charges for an off-duty confrontation at a MetroLink platform. Dawson Gore was working a security job for MetroLink at the platform at 43-hundred Hanley back in April. Pierre Wilson says he and the officer got into an argument that ended with Gore hitting him in the hand with a baton, breaking several bones which required surgery. The assault charge stems from investigators suspicion that the baton's use wasn't for law enforcement purposes.
