Thai Soldiers Arrest Former Education Minister

(Bangkok) -- Thailand's former education minister is in custody after soldiers stormed into a journalists club today and arrested him. The minister had refused to meet the military's demand that he turn himself in after last week's coup . A reporter says eight armed soldiers burst into the club in Bangkok where the former government official had just given speech. He denounced the military's takeover, which he said will make divisions within the country even worse. The military has detained and released a number of former ministers since the May 22nd coup.
