Georgia Representative Could Replace Cantor

(Atlanta, GA) -- Georgia Congressman Tom Price is one of a handful of lawmakers who could replace Eric Cantor as House majority leader. House Republicans are expected to hold elections for the position next week. Emory University political scientist Merle Black thinks Price is a longshot.
Price hasn't said whether he'll throw his name into the hat, but Black has the north Fulton County Republican on a list of potential vote-getters. Representative Cantor announced he will step down as House majority leader after his primary defeat Tuesday.
