SpaceX Confirms Launch Facility For Brownsville, Texas

(Austin, TX) -- SpaceX is going to be building a commercial launch facility in South Texas. Governor Rick Perry says SpaceX will get more than two-million dollars from the Texas Enterprise Fund once everything is finalized for the facility near Brownsville. SpaceX CEO Elon Musk says the company is excited to build the world's first commercial launch complex for orbital missions in Texas. Brownsville Mayor Tony Martinez says the city will do all it can to make sure SpaceX will be successful. The facility is expected to create 300 jobs and put 85-million dollars into the local economy.
