(Austin, TX) -- Texas Governor Rick Perry is telling National Guard troops heading to the Mexico border they will play a big role against "narco terrorists." Perry also didn't hesitate to criticize the federal government for not doing their job.
Perry paid a visit to a group of about 90 troops gathering In Austin Wednesday. He thanked the more than 22-hundred soldiers who volunteered for deployment saying they're going to be a visible presence to deter criminal activity. The state is only sending a thousand troops to the border.
