Obama: No Strategy Yet On Dealing With ISIS In Syria

(Washington, DC) -- President Obama is admitting the U.S. doesn't yet have a strategy to combat ISIS militants in Syria. In a White House news conference this afternoon, the President said he didn't want to "put the cart before the horse" and wants to make sure there's a plan of action before he consults with Congress. He promised to have discussions with Congress to make sure their voices are heard. The President is considering whether to expand U.S. airstrikes from Iraq into neighboring Syria. He said ISIS currently has a safe haven in Syria.
