Mayor: Toledo Water Ban Lifted

(Toledo, OH) -- The water is safe to drink once again in Toledo, Ohio. Mayor D. Michael Collins says tests by the state and the federal Environmental Protection Agency show no reason to continue the ban throughout the city. To prove his point this morning, he drank a glass of water as reporters looked on. Toledo gets its drinking water from Lake Erie, where an algae bloom is causing unsafe toxin levels. Those high levels of toxins have prevented residents from using tap water since early Saturday.
