Gaza Truce Holds After Shaky Start

(Gaza) -- A renewed truce between Israel and Hamas appears to be holding today despite a shaky start. Both sides agreed to extend the truce for five days yesterday during negotiations mediated by Egypt. The truce got off to a rough start when Hamas reportedly fired eight rockets at Israel, which prompted the Israeli military to launch a new round of air strikes in Gaza.
