WHO: Ebola Outbreak 'Vastly' Underestimated
Aug. 14, 2014
(Accra) -- The World Health Organization says there's evidence the numbers of Ebola cases have been greatly underestimated. The agency said on its website that the numbers of reported cases and deaths, quote, "vastly underestimate the magnitude of the outbreak." The WHO says there have been nearly two-thousand cases of Ebola during the world's largest outbreak of the virus and over a thousand people have died. Most of the cases have been in Guinea, Sierra Leone and Liberia.
