DEA Tightens Restrictions On Hydrocodone Combos

(Washington, DC) -- The DEA is tightening restrictions on some painkillers. The move is meant to counter the increasing abuse of hydrcodone-combination products. By listing the products as Schedule Two drugs under the Controlled Substance Act, it puts them on the level with strong illegal narcotics like heroin and methamphetamine. The action will take effect in 45 days.
