"Lucy" Triumphs At Box Office

(Los Angeles, CA) -- "Lucy" is getting the better of the competition in theaters. The Scarlett Johansson sci-fi action flick leads the way on the weekend box office list, opening with 44-million dollars. "Lucy" is coming out well ahead of the number two film, "Hercules," which raked in 29-million in its debut weekend. Another sci-fi action film, "Dawn of the Planet of the Apes," remains in the top five, taking the number three spot with another 16-point-four-million in receipts in its third weekend. "The Purge: Anarchy" ranks fourth with earnings of nine-point-nine-million. The animated "Planes: Fire & Rescue" rounds out the top five.
