Report: Casey Kasem's Kids May End Life Support

(Undated) -- Casey Kasem's children are reportedly preparing to say goodbye to their father. TMZ says a judge has reversed a ruling that required doctors to keep the legendary DJ alive with medication and fluids, essentially giving Kasem's kids the go ahead to end his life support. Kasem's children tell TMZ they would be honoring their father's wishes. The radio icon's wife Jean Kasem is reportedly furious with the decision and stormed out of the court after the judge's ruling Wednesday. Jean and Casey's daughter Kerri have been battling for months over his care. Kasem is in a hospice facility in Washington state. The 82-year-old has been suffering from a disease similar to Parkinson's disease and was recently hospitalized in critical condition.

A legend in his field, Casey Kasem hosted the nationally syndicated Top 40 countdown show "American Top 40" and similar radio shows between 1970 and 2009 when he retired. The Detroit-born radio personality is also known for voicing the character Shaggy in the Saturday morning "Scooby-Doo" cartoon series.
