Disney To Increase "Star Wars" Presence At Theme Parks

(Burbank, CA) -- Storm Troopers invading Disneyland? It could happen. While announcing huge gains over its third quarter during an earnings report Tuesday, Disney CEO and Chairman Bob Iger also revealed plans to ramp up "Star Wars'" presence at Walt Disney's theme parks. According to "The Los Angeles Times," the company's parks and resorts generated some four-billion-dollars in revenue at the end of its fiscal third quarter, ending June 28th. And Iger says he sees even more gains with a "Star Wars" presence.

Disney's park plans come as producers begin work on the first "Star Wars" movie to be released under the Disney banner next year. The company welcomed the "Star Wars" franchise into its fold in 2012 when it bought George Lucas' Lucasfilm for a reported four-billion-dollars.
