SSM Cardinal Glennon Children’s Medical Center made a statement today regarding ESPN’s rejection of their “Tree of Hope” commercial sharing their year-end appeal message.

The spot was rejected because the lines “Celebrate the birth of Jesus” and “Help us reveal God’s healing message” were ‘problematic,’ according to ESPN executives.

Thousands of Messages of Hope are written by donors and area schoolchildren to give hope to patients who are at the medical center during the Christmas season.
