A community advisory panel commissioned to restore the relationship and trust between the Chicago Police Dept and the city's most violent communities is recommending the embattled police dept emphasize community policing. That's the result of a yr-long investigation into what can be done to establish law & order in the city. The panel was created during the height of turmoil and unrest in Chicago in late 2015 when a judge ordered the release of a police tape depicting a Chicago police officer shooting and killing a black teen. Ever since, the city has been plagued with protests and accusations of police brutality and racial profiling.
