OH THE HORROR

The annual "Treehouse of Horror" episode of "The Simpsons" airs this Sunday, and to promote it, the show released an extended opening sequence, which was created with the help of GUILLERMO DEL TORO.

(He's the director behind the movies "Pan's Labyrinth", "Hellboy", "Pacific Rim" and "The Devil's Backbone")

The opening is almost three minutes long, and it references DOZENS of horror movies, including: "The Birds", "The Shining" and"Phantom of the Opera".

H.P Lovecraft, Stephen King, Alfred Hitchcock, Edgar Allan Poe and RAY BRADBURY also have cameos.
