I Can't Do Everything

My, my, my, how times have changed. We were told in 2008 that we needed change and President Obama said he was the guy to do it. Now he is saying, well we can’t expect him to get everything done; at least not anything that truly matters. I mean if you want a health care bill that the majority hates, then don’t you worry, Barack’s your boy. However, if you want him to actually pass policies that might help the economy and get people back to work, look he can’t get it all done. He’s not God, he’s merely a mortal, trying to deal with all the visceral characters in Washington, mainly anyone with an “R” by their name.
Jamie pulled this clip from Univision, and he made the excellent point that the anchors and spectators here are probably more liberal. I mean we are talking Latinos asking about President Obama’s lack of an immigration policy. However, they have been the only news organization so far that has actually asked the tough questions. Whether we agree with their views or not, the answer is still pretty revealing. We went from having the Messiah, who could do everything and do no wrong, to now when he’s being pressured about his inability to follow through, it’s not his fault. And that’s the problem folks, the sign of a good leader is someone who is willing to take responsibility. In Obama’s mind, he is never responsible.
