What's Good for the Goose

Lawrence O' Donnell pretty much lost his you-know-what over Ann Romney's $990 shirt. Why?  I mean sure, it wasn't the cutest shirt I've ever seen, but hey it's her money.  She can spend it on oodles and noodles of ugly shirts if she wants.  At least she is putting money back in the economy.

Why isn't O'Donnell upset about Michelle Obama's wardrobe?  The First Lady is known for her designer duds that includes pieces from  Balenciaga, Michael Kors, Helmut Lang, and Marchesa just to name a few.  Apparently last week she wore two cardigans last week that were alone worth $2000 and $3000.

I get that the First Lady says she also shops at Target and mixes it up, but that's not what this is about.  Who cares what Michelle Obama wears or Ann Romney.  If the media is going to attack Ann Romney for how she spends her money why not Michelle?  If you are going to open that can of worms, why not look at all the vacations that Michelle takes that spends the tax payers' money?  Ann Romney at least spends her own money.

Again, I don't care what Michelle Obama wears, this is more about the news media.  If they are going to claim to be fair and unbiased, then they might want to make sure that they are showing us how Michelle spends her money.  I am tired of their hypocrisy.  They act like they are everyday joes, but they wear designer duds all the time.  The media constantly acts like they are poor slums who understand us, but they are the ones wearing designer clothes and wining and dining with the Hollywood and business elite.  Wasn't it Anderson Cooper who was roaming the streets of Katrina riddled New Orleans in his Prada loafers? If you can afford to lose anything Prada you aren't doing half bad yourself.

The news media needs to stop acting like they are unbiased, third party viewers just reporting the truth.  They report their version of the truth.  I know they will never admit their bias, but I would respect them more if they did.
