World War Z, The Bling Ring, Monsters University & Top Reasons You Hate Summer

Lots of pictures on the blog today for your enjoyment. You'll see a picture of my GIANT SALAD that was only 8 bucks at Cini, a new place next to SLU that we will be doing live spots for soon. Really great place! You'll also see a pic of listener Sparky, who lives in Florida now but podcasts us every day. And today listener Shawn who built a wine rack for Dave.

Next you'll see some info on a cool promotion from the B&B Wildwood 10 (16820 Main Street; Wildwood, MO 63040). The B&B is celebrating Disney●Pixar’s MONSTERS UNIVERSITY opening in theatres today with two special offers.

The first 100 child’s tickets purchased to see MONSTERS UNIVERSITY in 3D at the theatre on Friday, June 21st will receive complimentary special edition MONSTERS UNIVERSITY RealD 3D children’s glasses.

Additionally, every child's ticket purchased opening weekend (6/21-6/23) to MONSTERS UNIVERSITY will also include a one-time admit-one pass to any of the B&B Wildwood 10’s Kids Summer Series Movies. Find showtimes HERE.

Billy Crystal and John Goodman return as Mike and Sully in a "Monsters Inc." prequel that shows how they first met, as college rivals learning to be "scarers." It's expected to easily win the weekend box office and pull in about $80 million. That shouldn't be too hard since it's playing on 400 screens more than "World War Z", in over 4,000 theaters.

Today is the first full day of summer! And if you're not happy about that fact, it might be because of something on this list of the Top Reasons You Hate Summer.

Longer days mean shorter nights. Shorter nights mean less darkness. Less darkness means little time to hide outside your hot neighbor's window and watch her sleep.

It's not easy watching $5,000 in savings disappear during a single visit to Disney World.

You just think life is a little better when there isn't a nearby county fair holding an Eddie Money concert.

Obese America in shorts.

You have a greater risk of Miley Cyrus splashing you with side-boob sweat.

Have you seen the new Anchorman 2 Trailer? Here you go!

America, we enjoyed a few days of KARDASHIAN-free bliss . . . pre-2007-style! But it all came CRASHING down late last night, when Kim and KANYE WEST'S daughter's name was revealed.

It's . . . wait for it . . . NORTH WEST.

No, I promise, I'm NOT lying.

By the way, it's unclear if they made the middle name DONDA . . . after Kanye's mother, who died in 2007. If it IS North Donda West, it would prove two things: That the name is even stupider than originally thought . . . and secondly, Kanye has this woman wrapped around his finger.

But an anonymous "source" tells E! News that there is NO middle name, and that Kim and Kanye are planning on calling her NORI for short.

Did you ever watch the E! channel's relaity show PRETTY WILD? It's on Netflix Instant and it's AWESOME. Well that show and its stars form the basis of Sofia Coppola's new film THE BLING RING.

Sofia wrote and directed this movie about a group of teenagers preying on celebrities. It hit five theaters last weekend, but is expanding to 650 theaters today.

Emma Watson is one of the juvenile delinquents who robs the homes of celebrities like Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan . . . using gossip sites like TMZ to see when they're out of town, and figuring out where they live with GPS and Google Maps.

Check out the picture on today's blog of Carl Middleman and I at The Bling Ring premiere.

We're innocent I swear!

Also in theaters is World War Z, in which Brad Pitt plays a former U.N. troubleshooter trying to locate the source of infection during a zombie apocalypse.

He has to leave his wife and kids on an aircraft carrier while he goes around the world to see if any other country has found a cure.

It's based on a 2006 novel written by Mel Brooks' son, Max Brooks, and subtitled "An Oral History of the Zombie War".

And the zombies aren't the slow, shuffling type you see on "The Walking Dead".

They're runners, like you'd find in a video game, and they can swarm over each other to get over walls and climb buildings.
