Slapped Awake, Silly Cat Video, and the Top Reasons Jay Leno Should Retire

If you're like most people, Monday is your least favorite day of the week. But according to "Forbes" magazine, it doesn't have to be. Here are four ways to make your Mondays more tolerable.
#1.) Dress Up. You probably can't do anything about what you've got on TODAY. But wearing your best outfit makes you more confident. And just looking like you're ready for work tends to make you FEEL more ready for work.
#2.) Do Something Nice for Someone. Or do something nice for the whole office, like bringing donuts to work. Research has shown that one of the best ways to improve your mood is to make someone ELSE happy.
#3.) Prepare for Monday on Friday. If there's something at work that you dread doing on Mondays, get a head start on Friday if you can. That way you'll lighten your workload. And you'll be able to relax all weekend, because you'll know you have an easier Monday than usual ahead of you.
#4.) Make a List of Things You're Excited for This Week. It doesn't even have to be work-related. Just write down three things you're looking forward to . . . like your favorite TV show, or having drinks with friends. That way, you'll remind yourself of some GOOD stuff that's coming up, and you won't just concentrate on how awful Mondays are.
In fact, some people suggest ALWAYS making plans for Monday night. Because then you'll start thinking of Mondays as a "special" day, not just the beginning of the workweek.
Maybe another way to have a good Monday is by reminding yourself you weren’t SLAPPED AWAKE.
A video called Slapped Awake is picking up some hits online. It's of some guy who asked his wife to wake him up every morning for two weeks by slapping him across the face.
It's not clear WHY. He kind of just looks confused every time . . . but watching her do it 15 times back-to-back is entertaining for some reason.
(WARNING: His wife says the S-word.)
NBC reportedly wants to replace Jay Leno on "The Tonight Show" with Jimmy Fallon in 2014. Find out why Jay probably should step down with the Top Reasons Jay Leno Should Retire.
He hasn't been funny since . . . ever.
He can join most of his jokes in the old-age home.
The look on Conan's face when he happily hands the reins over to Fallon.
Maybe Kimmel will stop being mean to him.
It's not like he can't just UN-retire if he changes his mind.
He needs more time to continue the vain search for anyone who's laughed even once at a "Jaywalking" segment.
Your grandparents really need to get to bed earlier.
Turns out it’s not just Tom Terbrock who laughs at silly animals. There was a story in the news about a 13-year-old cat in Northern Virginia that's been SWIMMING to lose weight.
And a video of a news anchor in Roanoke, Virginia is making the rounds, because she can't hold it together during her report on it.
She manages to talk for about ten seconds without laughing . . . then loses it when they show footage of the cat swimming with a LIFE PRESERVER on.
