President Obama, King Vitamin, and Doc Lynch

President Obama has flown to Afghanistan to sign a Strategic Partnership Agreement with the Afghan government, and to mark the one-year anniversary of the killing of Osama bin laden.

The President will address the nation tonight at 6:30pm CST, we will carry that live on our station.

I understand that this is a campaign photo-op/victory lap for the President, but I say if you take out the biggest terrorist in the world you're A-OK doing a victory lap a year later.

Dave, Tom, Klose, and I had lunch today and the first topic of conversation wasn't the President but instead revolved around King Vitamin, Imperial Margarine and the goofy ad campaigns of the 70's.

That commercial is almost as scary as Doc Lynch's prediction that we will not have a Presidential election this year.

Lynch has been saying this for a while on his Paranormal Tuesday segment, and today he shared this video with me.

Be warned, this is seven minutes of insanity as only Dr. Michael Lynch could recommend.

    Like everything Lynch says, this made-up scenario is scary only if you buy into the dozen or so complexly interrelated assumptions that it makes. And each assumption taken separately wouldn't produce the Armageddon he predicts... EVERY condition described (and described at an intentionally rapid rate which makes it very difficult to process without multiple hearings or reading of a transcript) must occur in the order described.

    I used to think this kind of stuff was cute and amusing. But then I realized that some radicals who listen to this station believe it to be an accurate and logical prediction or, even worse, an undeniable fact.

    *sigh* I "get it" and love the entertainment value of your show (including "Dr." Lynch). I just hope everyone else gets the JOKE too.

    Oh man. After all my facepalming at Lynch's election-suspension prediction, I'm now wondering if Hurricane Sandy might just result in either postponing the election or extending the process for months.
